It was built in 1840 and serves more than 25.000.000 passengers in a year. However, most of them are just stopovers and the Gare d’Austerlitz itself only caters to the traditional routes and connections that have been operational since the beginning.
The name Gare d’Austerlitz was given to this station Napoleon won the Battle of Austerlitz. It was the first train station in Paris that abandoned steam trains to adopt the system of electric trains instead. The Gare d’Austerlitz is located in the south-east area of the city, on the left side of River Seine.

The station operates from 4 am till midnight every day.
This station is the starting point of the railway station i.e. the Paris-Bourdeaux railway. Since it is connected to the Toulouse line, a few trains that have to head to Toulouse also depart from Gare d’Austerlitz.

You should use RER A for travel to Disneyland from Gare de Lyon. The duration of the journey is about 50 minutes and the price of the ticket is € 7.60. If you visit Paris with children this is a mandatory stop.
Tickets are valid for RER, SNCF trains and subway. The price of the ticket is 1.90€ per trip, although you can buy a 10-trip ticket for 14.90€ (-4.10€ discount). You can buy them at any Parisian station.
